A Birthday bucket list

I’d been pining for a stay at Silver Falls all summer, but we’d already had to cancel two planned trips when other things came up, so it was a great birthday treat to head there for two days in July before our big month-long trip.

The campgrounds are forested and secluded, but just a short walk to all the hiking trails, including the Trail of Ten Falls — truth in advertising, even the most cynical of hikers would feel unicorns, kittens and rainbows swell in their hearts hiking over, behind and under 10 falls along this 8 mile loop. We got in a good long hike, drank the champagne that had been hanging out in our fridge for a special occasion and made some amazing campfire meals.

We could easily have spent a week or two here exploring the park and nearby Silverton, which has plenty of bites, supplies and sips.

Check out our campground review over at Campendium or visit our Google Map for things to do in the area.

All the coffee. All the cozies. Pretty much a perfect birthday morning.
